UK Websites Push Pay-Per-Click

June 23, 2010 by Alice Allan

Two UK job websites are starting new pay-per-click advertising campaigns in an effort to increase their traffic.

To begin with, niche portal theitjobboard.co.uk has signed up DBD Media to run a pay-per-click advertising campaign. Along with driving traffic to the itjobboard.co.uk, the aim of the campaign will be to increase visitor numbers at sister websites in Germany, Holland and Belgium.

Meanwhile, UK classifieds portal fish4.co.uk has enlisted Gravytrain to run its latest pay-per-click campaign.

fish4.co.uk, which lists jobs along with real estate, cars, holidays and personals, is looking to target more recruitment agencies and increase job listings. onrec.com reports that Google AdWords will be part of the new campaign.

fish4.co.uk quotes NORAS and ABC electronic figures that put its monthly unique visitor total at 3.3 million, which it says makes it the UK’s leading recruitment website. However, that’s a claim echoed by fish4.co.uk competitor reed.co.uk.

For its part, theitjobboard.co.uk says it has a user community of over 300,000 IT professionals who can view over 25,000 jobs per day.
