No Change Yet for careerone.com.au

May 21, 2010 by Alice Allan

careerone.com.au’s switch to the Monster platform hasn’t yet had any tangible effect on visitor numbers according to new Nielsen figures.

careerone.com.au completed the transition to the Monster platform in March. The portal’s CEO, Michael Harvey, recently told jobsportalwatch.com that its new offerings for job seekers – including the ability to register in under 60 seconds and apply for jobs in two clicks – should increase its audience.

But this month’s Nielsen figures, provided by recruitmentdirectory.com.au, show drops in audience numbers for each of the top three job boards.

Market leader seek.com.au is still well in front with 3.679 million, but this is down from last month’s peak of 4.26 million.

careerone.com.au is still in second place with 1.527 million, down from 1.789 million. mycareer.com.au has followed the same trajectory, going from 1.493 million to 1.265 million.

Of course, it’s still early days for the new-look careerone.com.au, and jobsportalwatch.com will keep tracking the portal’s progress to see whether it can dent seek.com.au’s lead in future.
