“Growth is Back” at naukri.com
May 3, 2010 by Alice Allan

naukri.com parent company Info Edge says “growth is back” in India, despite reporting a 4.24 percent drop in revenue for the quarter ending 31 March.
The company’s quarterly profit is down from the previous year’s total to 132.23 million INR. However, net sales are up 13.10 percent at a total of 652.6 million INR.
Info Edge founder and CEO Sanjeev Bikhchandani was positive about the results, telling moneycontrol.com that “growth is back”. “[T]he economic recovery is real,” he told the website. “It is impacting our business positively and we are expecting the future quarters to be better than the past.”
Bikhchandani went on to say he expects to see sales growth of more than 20 percent in 2010/2011.
These positive predictions fit with naukri.com’s recent assessments of the Indian jobs market. The portal’s JobSpeak index rose 14 percent in February and another 1.5 percent in March.
To gain more attention from job seekers, naukri.com has just moved to integrate Facebook’s new “recommend” button to its job listings.
