jobsite.co.uk Now on iPhone

March 5, 2010 by Alice Allan

UK portal jobsite.co.uk has joined the ever-growing number of job websites offering an iPhone application with the release of Jobsite Jobs.

The free application allows users to search for jobs by title, location, contract type and date added – from the last two hours to the previous seven days. Results can be sorted by relevance, salary or date, and job seekers also have the option apply via their iPhone.

jobsite.co.uk CEO Keith Potts explained the strategy behind releasing the app along with jobsite.co.uk’s future mobile plans:

“Last year we saw the number of people using mobile devices to access jobsite.co.uk increase dramatically, with a growth of 136 percent between January and its peak in October. We expect this to increase further with the wider adoption of smart phones in 2010 and beyond.

To ensure we provide the best service to this audience the Jobsite Jobs iPhone app is the first in a series of mobile developments. Over the coming months we will be launching further innovative products and tools to help job seekers look for work in the most convenient way for them. This commitment will also help to ensure that our recruiters continue to find the best people to fill their vacancies.”
