Seasonal Bounce for Aussie Job Sites

February 4, 2010 by Alice Allan

January traffic figures for Australia’s job portals are in, and the results show a sharp increase in the number of unique visitors after a December lull.

As recruitmentdirectory.com.au’s graph shows, seek.com.au is still far in the lead with 3.872 million unique visitors for the month. Monster-powered careerone.com.au follows with 1.747 million, and Fairfax Digital’s mycareer.com.au remains in third place with 1.448 million.

mycareer.com.au has just struck a distribution partnership with business-to-business publisher Reed Business Information (RBI). As B&T Today reports, the partnership will see mycareer.com.au’s job listings published on RBI’s 29 industry portals, which include moneymanagement.com.au, travelweekly.com.au, and hospitalitymagazine.com.au.

“mycareer.com.au’s partnership with Reed Business Information will make a significant contribution to our objective of delivering quality jobseekers to our advertisers,” Fairfax Media general manager John Brand is quoted as saying. “Having job ads in front of both active and passive jobseekers is the most successful way of communicating with potential employees in the current employment market.”
