linkup.com Free for Nonprofits
February 22, 2010 by Alice Allan
US-based job search engine linkup.com has just announced a free offer for nonprofit organisations.
The search engine is offering nonprofits free, unlimited sponsored clicks during March and says it will waive all fees to install its Facebook application, “Current-Jobs-at-Our-Company,” use its Twitter services, and distribute jobs through its iPhone and Android mobile phone apps.
“The economic environment of the past year or so has been brutal for everyone, but it’s been particularly severe for nonprofit organizations,” said linkup.com’s president and CEO Toby Dayton. “As the economy shows some signs of recovering and organisations start hiring again, we wanted to find a way to help non-profits that might be in such a position by offering them a free tool to advertise and promote their job openings.”
linkup.com, which currently has 387,546 positions in its database, emphasises its users won’t find “work-at-home scams, recruiters or staffing agencies”. The search engine is owned by JobDig, an employment-focused media, advertising, and technology company founded in 2001.
