rtmjobs.com Celebrates 2009
January 7, 2010 by Alice Allan
2009 was a tough year for many job boards, but there is at least one UK-based niche jobs website that says it saw huge increases in traffic and registered members throughout the year.
rtmjobs.com, which currently lists 272 jobs from 50 UK companies, was created in association with Rail Technology Magazine and focuses on jobs in the rail industry.
While this might sound like a limited area for a jobs website to cover, a statement from rtmjobs.com claims it has registered an average of 1,624 new candidates per month since it launched in April last year.
rtmjobs.com says that at the end of November 2009 its database of registered candidates held the details of 13,000 jobseekers. The website also says it sees over 40,000 visitors each month.
“2009 was a tough year for recruitment on the whole,” says rtmjobs.com’s business development manager Roy Rowlands. “However, the rail industry appears to have bucked the trend.”
