UK niche job board nurses.co.uk has released an iPhone application it says could reach 30 percent of nurses in the UK.

The free application was built with help from UK job search engine allthetopbananas.co.uk, which launched its iPhone application in October.

“A poll run recently on the NMC website asked about mobile usage,” Sara Gill, marketing manager for nurses.co.uk, told onrec.com. “While it showed that 70 percent don’t surf the Internet on their phones, we remain really excited about the 30 percent who might. That’s a lot of nurses and it’s also a group that will grow in number.”

The application allows registered nurses.co.uk members to apply for positions via their iPhones. Unregistered users can save or email listings to themselves.

nurses.co.uk lists positions across the UK, Northern Ireland and overseas. Employers can choose advertising packages costing between £95 and £249.
