tweetmyjobs.com Launches Social Campaign
November 20, 2009 by Alice Allan

Job notification provider tweetmyjobs.com has launched a social media based competition to promote its website.
After watching tweetmtjobs.com’s promotional video and entering their details, competition entrants will be sent a link to promote across Twitter, Facebook and any other social media website they can access. The person who gets the most people to enter the competition will win a new plasma TV or US$500.
“We are practicing what we preach,” said Gary Zukowski, founder of tweetmyjobs.com. “We want to show just how powerful social media can be in reaching thousands of people across the globe within a matter of hours.”
“The entire budget for this campaign will be less than $2500,” added Zukowski. “That amount of money can barely buy a few local TV spots. By using social media we will reach thousands of targeted individuals in a cost effective manner. It mirrors the service we offer to our clients.”
tweetmyjobs.com users subscribe to Twitter “channels” to receive text messages on their mobile as soon as positions become available. The website says it has 300,000 jobs, over 100,000 followers, 6,000 vertical Twitter job channels and more than 4,000 companies using its service.
