New Partners for biocareercenter.com
November 27, 2009 by Alice Allan
biocareercenter.com, a job portal and information website for post-graduates in the life sciences, has secured partnerships with Northwestern and Columbia Universities.
A statement on the website says these two universities will join 28 other life science training institutions affiliated with biocareercenter.com including Stanford, Berkeley and Cornell.
The partnership will give Northwestern and Columbia University students and alumni free access to the portal’s content, including its job listings, which will be embedded on the universities’ websites.
“Our postdocs have been very excited about it,” said Kathryn Espiritu, Columbia University’s director of Post Doctoral Affairs. “We have a diverse group of postdocs and I think that biocareercenter.com will provide some great career advisement.”
biocareercenter.com offers a range of packages to employers ranging from single job postings to company profiles and featured options. The portal was introduced to the market in 2007, and states that companies should use it to find their employees because it “organises qualified candidates to save recruiters time and shorten the hiring process”.
