linkup.com Expands to Canada
October 29, 2009 by Amy Geller

US based job search engine linkup.com has ventured beyond its home ground by establishing a presence in Canada.
The company describes its goals as “very simple: to build the best job site on the web”.
The company’s president and CEO, Toby Dayton, commented on the move in a press release:
“We’ve seen phenomenal growth in the US by delivering the highest quality job search engine on the web, and expanding our coverage to include Canada is a logical next step for our business. We’re excited to be able to offer job seekers and employers everywhere a vastly better alternative to the outdated resources currently available on the web today.”
linkup.com will launch in Canada with canada.linkup.com this month. The expansion comes at a time when although online vacancies are still 26 percent lower compared to third quarter 2008, they are up 6 points from the previous quarter this year according to the monster.ca employment index.
linkup.com proclaims itself the fastest growing job search engine in the US due to its unique approach of only indexing jobs from company websites and therefore remaining current, often having unadvertised listings and containing no fake jobs or scam listings.
Earlier this year linkup.com announced enhancements in the US with the release of its iPhone and Facebook applications.
The LinkUp websites are owned and operated by JobDig, an employment-focused media, technology, and advertising company that was established in 2001.
