employerinformation.co.uk has recently been launched with the aim of “providing honest and objective feedback for employers from employees”.

The website is run by local recruitment network careers4uk.com. It currently has 45 reviews searchable by employer name, location, and sector. employerinformation.co.uk says the identity of reviewers is completely confidential, however employees do need to register before they can post a review.

Reviewed employers are rated on a five star scale, with the highest and lowest rated companies and links to their reviews then displayed on the front page of the website. Employers are able to pay for more detailed information on their rankings and comments.

A review on Igloo Blog says the new website has been met with mixed reviews, pointing out that while some see its potential as a marketing tool and measure of employee satisfaction, the fact that reviews are anonymous could leave it open to abuse.

employerinformation.co.uk assures users that its staff are “continually checking and reviewing entries” and says defamatory remarks will be removed.
