International jobs website jobserve.com has announced two marketing deals involving English Football.

jobserve.com will become the official career partner of FL interactive. FL interactive manages and develops the internet and mobile rights of 80 English football clubs, 8 from the Premier, 64 from The Football League and 8 from the Football Conference.

The deal means that jobserve.com will provide a jobs link on all 80 official club websites together with extensive advertising to their combined 5.5 million monthly unique visitors. The company says that FL interactive has the largest football network globally and this partnership will provide benefits to fans seeking work, local recruiters, as well as massive exposure for the JobServe brand.

The second deal involves a sponsorship agreement with Colchester United Football Club. Under this 4 year sponsorship JobServe’s logo will appear on the away matches players’ shirts and the East Stand of the team’s home ground will be renamed “The JobServe Stand”. Previously JobServe had a successful 4 year sponsorship with West Ham United Football Club.

The company is not the only jobs website to have a football sponsorship deal – the UK’s jobsite.co.uk has signed on as the main sponsor of Premier League Portsmouth Football Club.

Commenting on both deals JobServe’s CEO, John Cowling, said:

“Robbie (JobServe’s Chairman) and I were born in London’s East End and have been football fans all our lives. We love the game and are delighted to mix business and pleasure in this way by becoming the career partner on 80 football clubs websites. And for a company based in Tiptree, just outside Colchester, we are also really pleased to sponsor our local League 1 football team.”

“We do business all over the UK so the away strip sponsorship will give us plenty of extra exposure outside Essex. Hopefully, like West Ham, we will see the U’s promoted to the next division during the sponsorship term”, Cowling added.”

JobServe is part of the Aspire Media Group. In July this year, jobserve.com launched a new pay-for-performance product which it hopes will alter the way recruiting online is viewed. It follows similar moves by monster.com and Yahoo! HotJobs, among others.
