US based online recruiting marketplace recruiterreqs.com was launched in May this year with the aim of giving “employers, staffing/search firms and independent recruiters the ability to work together without all the long term contracts and fees typically associated with hiring an employee”.

The website invites recruiters to become members for a monthly fee, and states that they can then make an unlimited number of private bids to fill positions listed by employers. Employers are able to review these bids and accept them if they choose, however they do not enter into a long term contract with the recruiter. recruiterreqs.com provides contracts for employers and recruiters to complete their transaction.

Founder and CEO Paul Paris discussed his website with cheezhead.com, maintaining that recruiterreqs.com is different from other recruiting marketplaces such as bountyjobs.com, which have attracted controversy:

“I have always enjoyed recruiting, and while I believe that the industry has changed drastically, our concept is still like that feeling I got when doing a placement. When you hear that someone posted a resume on your social network and got a job, or an employer saved enough money using recruiterreqs.com that they were able to pay the higher salary to an employee because they now saved that money in their budget by using our site, or that a recruiter was able to work with a company that they never could if they weren’t part of our job board.”

Paris also told cheezhead.com that his website is part of Agents Paying Forward – a network of recruiters that donate part of their earnings to charitable organisations.
