A new online resume builder has just been launched with the help of start-up funding venture firm Y Combinator. jobspice.com is a free website that allows users to build internet-friendly resumes in a number of different styles.
The website was co-founded by Andrew McCollum, the original designer and co-founder of Facebook. In announcing the launch, a post on the Y Combinator blog simply stated:
“JobSpice (S09) launched today. It’s so easy to build a fabulous looking resume! If only this had been around when I was job hunting, I would have been spared tons of frustration– from formatting to managing all the different variations that I had saved on a disk.”
While the website is currently free, techcrunch.com explains that there are plans to offer premium services in the future, and to promote the website as an option for employers to streamline their search for candidates.
