London Graduate Website Adds Job Board
August 14, 2009 by Alice Allan

The new Helping Graduates Into Work website, which was launched last month by London Mayor Boris Johnson, has just expanded to include more than 250 job opportunities.
Since its launch, the website has had over 4,000 visits, and a statement explains that Johnson plans to expand the website to cater to other Londoners looking for work in the future. Johnson went on to encourage more employers to become involved with the website:
“With so many opportunities now up on our site it shows there is high demand for the extraordinary talent produced by the capital’s renowned universities. I am confident that we will be continually adding new opportunities as more employers hear about this unique website and learn what an excellent gateway it is to London’s graduate market place.
My message to employers is send us your opportunities and we will help match you with some of the best brains on the planet – brains that we allow to leave and join the competition at our peril.”
Helping Graduates Into Work features an “idea generator” to help graduates decide what to do with their degrees as well as job seeking advice, career and job fairs information and information about further study options.
The website links to various job boards including general websites such as monster.co.uk, London specific websites like justlondonjobs.co.uk, and sector based websites such as artsjobsonline.com.
