US based job search engine linkup.com has launched an application to allow companies to display their job openings on their Facebook profile or “fan” page.

The application is available in two versions: one free and one premium for US$39 per month. The free version will update five job listings from a company’s website to their Facebook profile daily, while the premium version displays all job openings, expands the amount of visible information and links directly to the company’s website. Both are automated and update automatically in line with any changes made by the company on their own website.

linkup.com webmaster Eric Caron explained the aim of the application in a company statement:

“One of the toughest parts of having a Facebook page is keeping it updated and fresh. With linkup.com’s new employer Facebook application, we’re able to help ease that burden while also connecting employers with a crucial talent pool – their fans.”

linkup.com currently has access to 22,186 company websites and is listing 393,429 positions. The website states it focuses on “hidden jobs” that are not advertised outside of company websites, and emphasises that its listings do not include “work-at-home scams, recruiters or staffing agencies”.
