Twitter based job search engine twitterjobsearch.com now allows users to record and post a video CV or “personal video elevator pitch” in response to its listings.

twitterjobsearch.com co-founder Bill Fischer explained the aim of the video option in a company statement:

“Recruiters are now faced with the challenge of having to quickly evaluate multiple candidates, and video can help in these assessments. We’re tracking and/or working with companies in 17 countries that are using Twitter as part of their recruitment efforts. Our products build a layer of services on the Twitter infrastructure that connects job seekers and employers.”

twitterjobsearch.com also states that it is working with companies in Europe, the US, Brazil and Australia “to ensure their social media recruitment activity fits the Twitter interaction environment”. Over the past few months, twitterjobsearch.com has entered into a number of partnerships with other job websites including collegerecruiter.com, brokerhunter.com, and equest.com.

After searching, twitterjobsearch.com users can mouse over job listings to read further details, or follow a link to the original listing, where the twitterjobsearch.com search bar will remain visible at the top of the page. Users can also save and “retweet” jobs, follow a company through Twitter, or click the “I can do that” button, when they are asked to choose whether they would like this information made public or not.
