US based technology and engineering jobs portal dice.com has launched a new training focused website – Dice Learning. Dice Learning currently states that it provides access to over 61,900 technical training materials.

The new website’s categories include certifications, self-paced and instructor-led learning, bootcamps, books and ebooks, videos, seminars, colleges, and test preparation. Users can also browse courses according to the technology they focus on.

In a statement from dice.com, senior vice president and chief marketing officer Tom Silver explained:

“Traditionally, finding the right training and certification is hit or miss, leaving tech professionals with more work to identify the right courses and providers. Dice Learning cuts through the myriad of training offerings to give tech professionals direct and easy access to what in our experience are the best courses and learning materials available.”

dice.com says that each training material provider was selected based on “reputation, scope of services, number of locations for training centres, authorizations by hardware and software providers, and the quality of training curriculum”. The website’s courses come with a money back guarantee if users do not pass on their second try.

cheezhead.com reports that dice.com has recently released the results of a survey looking at which technology skills are in the highest demand. The top results included security skills, virtualisation, Java and SAP. According to the survey, there were 48,993 tech jobs available as of 1 July.

dice.com is owned by career website provider Dice Holdings, which also runs efinancialcareers.com.au clearancejobs.com, allhealthcarejobs.com, jobsinthemoney.com and targetedjobfairs.com.
