UK jobs portal jobsite.co.uk has teamed with Johnston Press to power jobstoday.co.uk and jobstoday.ie. Scottish jobstoday.co.uk has replaced Johnston Press’s scotsman.com/jobs, and these three main websites are now searchable from over 300 local websites published by Johnston Press.

jobsite.co.uk is one of a number of websites in the Associated Northcliffe Digital group, the digital consumer division of Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT), which operates the digital assets of Associated Newspapers Ltd. and Northcliffe Media. Johnston Press publishes local newspapers and websites in over 140 markets including Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

jobsite.co.uk explains that the JobsToday websites’ clients will now be able to cross-post their vacancies with jobsite.co.uk, and says that those using JobsToday’s CV matching service will also have relevant CVs from jobsite.co.uk included in this service.

In a company statement, Johnston Press CEO John Fry said:

“Our partnership with jobsite.co.uk enables us to deliver upon our strategy of improving our classified sites by working with best of breed providers. JobsToday specialises in working with companies to bring local jobs to local people and the new sites will enhance this capability.”

jobsite.co.uk CEO Keith Potts added:

“Johnston Press run some of the most respected and highest circulation regional newspapers across the UK including the Yorkshire Post, Scotsman, Sheffield Star, Lancashire Evening Post and Portsmouth Evening News. Partnering with them is a fantastic opportunity as it enables us to expand and grow our regional network. The areas where Johnston Press operates complements jobsite.co.uk’s existing media partnerships ensuring we have true depth and breadth across the UK.”
