Niche Australian jobs website, hippo.com.au, has announced the appointment of Area Managers in order to cover its operations across Australia and improve its communications and services to the industry. It follows a rebranding and change of strategy for the company.

The company says that the appointment of an Area Management team is one of the first steps in its aggressive growth plan since being acquired by Classified Ad Ventures Pty Ltd in April.

The new team’s expertise is in online classified advertising and customer service: New South Wales will be covered by Jodie Gray; Victoria and Tasmania by Tatiana Majalica; Queensland by Jacqui Mann; and South Australia and Western Australia by Misty O’Connell-Lever (pictured).

Simon Baker, CEO of Classified Ad Ventures and hippo.com.au, says the appointment of the new team is one of the most important steps in the company’s growth:

“Providing the best possible service and advice to our customers and the industry is paramount to our future success, so it is therefore logical that we get these people on the ground as soon as possible. The team we have put together are very experienced in this advertising space and I am extremely confident that our customers will see quickly the benefit of their knowledge”.

The new team follows a new look and branding for the website with additional functionality and improvements to follow.

It also accompanies a change in strategy for the niche website. hippo.com.au has historically targeted the 15 – 24 year old demographic for part-time and casual jobs nationally. After consultation with its customers and feedback from the market, hippo.com.au says it is extending its reach to include part time vacancies for 15 year olds right through to those at the new Australian retirement age of 67 years old. Part time jobs include casual, flexible, job share and basically anything other than full time employment.

Classified Ad Ventures is the owner of jobsportalwatch.com.
