Last week we reported on the top 50 US websites for June 2009 according to comScore. careerbuilder.com ranked 39th and craigslist.com 16th – the only two job-related sites to make the general top 50. However, comScore reported seeing a trend of increased traffic to career services and development websites, and has just released a follow up report showing the top career resources websites for the US.
careerbuilder.com leads followed by Yahoo! HotJobs and monster.com.
The comScore top 10 jobs sites in the US for June 2009 (and the percentage change in web traffic from June 2008) are:
1. careerbuilder.com -1%
2. hotjobs.yahoo.com 23%
3. monster.com 6%
4. indeed.com 59%
5. job.com 46%
6. snagajob.com 48%
7. simplyhired.com 35%
8. jobsonline.net 31%
9. opm.gov 184%
10. brassring.com -11%
“Job and career-related resources continue to be one of the fastest-growing categories online, which is not surprising given the current state of the economy and the number of people seeking job opportunities and career advice,” said Jeff Hackett, comScore senior vice president. “The top three sites in the category – CareerBuilder, HotJobs and Monster – have maintained their leadership positions for several years now, but there are also a few upstarts in the industry making some noise. Certainly with millions of Americans reevaluating their careers right now there is opportunity for continued growth and innovation in this segment of the online marketplace.”
