workyourcareer.com Offers One-Click Referrals
June 25, 2009 by Alice Allan

US based job website workyourcareer.com, previously moneybackjobs.com, has launched a one-click referral service employees can use to post openings as well as receive and forward resumes.
The workyourcareer.com process involves a number of steps. First, employees create a profile, then the workyourcareer.com database shows them which jobs are currently open at their company. Employees choose the positions they want to help fill, then forward resumes of their choice to the hiring manager overseeing that position. Employees receive 25 cents for each resume they forward.
At the other end, job seekers create a profile, then search and apply for jobs posted by employees. Job seekers pay 99 cents each time their resume is forwarded to a hiring manager by an employee.
cheezhead.com interviewed workyourcareer.com CEO Mark Thomas, who said of the new service:
“With our new One-Click Referral Service, we wanted to give people an opportunity to mine their way into companies when they otherwise wouldn’t be able to do so. Job seekers are becoming increasingly frustrated with the ‘black hole effect,’ whereby they submit resumes through a company’s traditional online submission process, only to never hear back from the company or not know if the company has even received his/her resume. Our tool puts your resume right in front of the correct person who should be reading it.”
workyourcareer.com’s features also include its recently launched “BiddingOnJobs” system. This system, the website states, “guarantees Job Seekers an in-person interview with a company for a small fee”.
Through “BiddingOnJobs”, employers sort resumes into either the “Bidding Pool,” “Buy-It-Now” or “Not Suitable” categories. “Bidding Pool” candidates are then asked to bid for an interview, “Buy-It-Now” candidates asked to pay a fee for a guaranteed interview time, and “Not Suitable” candidates told their application has been unsuccessful.
