monster.co.uk, the UK branch of global jobs website monster.com, will hold a virtual job fair from the 1st-14th October 2009.

recruiter.co.uk reports the website expects 120,000 companies to rent “virtual booths” to meet with candidates. The virtual job fair will also make use of online compatibility tests, a 24-hour messaging service and video chat.

monster.co.uk managing director Julian Acquari told recruiter.co.uk:

“Despite the current climate, there are still jobs available across multiple sectors, and it is more important than ever for vacancies to be matched up with the best candidates.

“Monster’s Virtual Job Fair is a great way for jobseekers to access a range of recruiting companies, and has already seen considerable success in France. Being online, it gives visitors the flexibility of being able to attend the fair when it suits them.”
