tweetmyjobs.com Joins with DirectEmployers
June 29, 2009 by Alice Allan

Twitter website tweetmyjobs.com has partnered with the DirectEmployers Association – a non-profit HR consortium of nearly 500 US corporations including IBM, AT&T, Google, Cisco, Dell, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and Whirlpool.
Through the partnership, DirectEmployers Association member companies will be able to recruit through tweetmyjobs.com’s SMART (Social Media Applicant Recruitment Tool) Tweet application for free. All member companies will also have their jobs posted on tweetmyjobs.com at no charge.
A statement from the DirectEmployers Association quotes vice president of business development Chad Sowash as saying:
“The goal is to constantly provide our members with the best avenues to increase labor market efficiency and reduce recruiting costs. Social media has exploded onto the scene, although leveraging this new and interactive medium for recruitment has seemed quite nebulous for many companies. That’s why DirectEmployers was very eager to partner with tweetmyjobs.com, who has established themselves as leaders in this area, to help our member companies better analyse the advantages of social media recruitment.”
tweetmyjobs.com describes itself as “the world’s largest Twitter job board” and claims to represent over 6,000 companies and have over 65,000 followers. tweetmyjobs.com users subscribe to one of over 5,000 “channels” and receive text messages as soon as positions become available.
tweetmyjobs.com introduced a tweet branding service for companies in early June, and partnered with job posting website equest.com in May.
