juju.com Competes With indeed.com
June 30, 2009 by Emma Sorensen

US job search engine juju.com is not only a competitor to indeed.com, it’s recently acquired two of indeed.com’s staff members.
According to Cheezhead: “Brendan Cruickshank is now VP of sales for Juju and Chris Campbell is director of sales. Both served in similar roles at Indeed.”
indeed.com’s internal vacancy listings show they are currently advertising for a Director of Sales and a Sales Account Executive, to be based in Stamford, CT.
Indeed, Inc. was founded in 2004 with the aim of radically improving online job search. The company claims that it “pioneered the application of a true search engine methodology to jobs and, with the beta-launch of indeed.com in November 2004, immediately became the most comprehensive job search service on the web”. It was selected by Time magazine as one of the “Top 10 Websites” for 2007.
Meanwhile juju.com was built on the foundations of the first job search engine on the web, www.job-search-engine.com, which launched in 1998. The site was re-launched under the Juju brand in January 2006 with new technology, a new interface, and a new team.
