Job search engine indeed.com has launched its own iPhone application. cheezhead.com reports that the application will allow for job searching, saved searches, and the ability to email job postings.

indeed.com’s application joins growing a number of iPhone applications related to job searching. mashable.com recently reviewed 10 iPhone applications for managing job searches, including careerbuilder.com’s application, launched 12 months ago. Social networking website LinkedIn’s application is also mentioned, along with “Craigster”, which searches Craigslist classifieds.

mashable.com also outlines a number of job applications that are not connected to a specific website. Some are free to download, such as Job Compass, which uses the iPhone’s locator feature to search for jobs within a five to 100 mile radius.

pcmag.com’s recent list of 10 useful iPhone applications for job hunters is similar, but also points to applications that can help with issues such as budgeting (mint.com’s free iPhone application) and even tying a tie for an interview (“iTie”).

indeed.com came in at number 10 in a list of the fastest growing US websites compiled by ComScore Media Metrix in January 2009.

Since then, the search engine has created a set of tutorial videos for job seekers on how to use various features on the website.
