The winners of the 13th annual Webby Awards were announced earlier this month, with executive job website theladders.com taking out the top award in the “employment” category.

theladders.com states it lists more than 35,000 new jobs each month across every industry. Along with job listings, it also provides career advice and a database of pre-screened candidates at recruit.theladders.com.

monster.com was not forgotten, receiving the People’s Voice award. Darko Dejanovic, the website’s executive vice president, said in a press release:

“Being recognized by the Webby Awards affirms Monster is delivering on its promise to provide the resources that help people find jobs and manage their careers. We would like to thank everyone who supported Monster as the People’s Voice Award winner – we are honoured to be included in such prestigious company.”

David-Michel Davies, executive director of the Webby Awards, called monster.com’s win “a testament to the skill, ingenuity, and vision of its creators”.

Other nominees in the employment category included nypdrecuit.com, visualcv.com and teaching jobs website tes.co.uk. More than 500,000 votes were cast in this year’s Webby Awards for websites, videos and advertisements.
