monster.com Does Background Checks
May 27, 2009 by Emma Sorensen

US recruitment portal monster.com has teamed up with HireRight to offer employers candidate background screening services through its website.
Monster says in a press release about the new service that the background screening will be offered by HireRight, one of the world’s largest employment screening providers, and will help streamline the candidate background-check process for businesses, increase the quality of new hires and help reduce liability.
The service will be fully integrated with the monster.com desktop and candidate management tools, allowing employers to speed up the screening process and make more informed decisions when hiring.
“At a time when resources and budgets may be limited, hiring the best candidate the first time is critical for return on your recruitment investment and ultimately strong business performance. The wrong hire can cost a business time, resources and revenue,” said Puneet Bhasin, SVP of employer product & technology at Monster. “This new service provided by HireRight is a natural extension of Monster’s offering, designed to ensure that the talent search and acquisition process is highly effective, affordable and that employers find the right person for the job.”
“HireRight is pleased to provide Monster with a streamlined solution for employers to reduce employment-related risks and improve hiring decisions,” said David Nachman, vice president of business development at HireRight. “Monster clients can now confirm the credentials provided by job candidates with speed and convenience, from within their Monster account.”
Monster customers will benefit from a broad range of screening services provided by HireRight, available in a variety of flexible package options. Background searches can be ordered 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including:
- County, National and Federal criminal records checks
- Employment verification – past employment dates, job titles and positions
- Social Security Number validation
- Address history
- Motor vehicle records check – driver’s license status and violations
- Other searches are available by package and on an a la carte basis.
monster.com has recently revamped and re-built their website, resulting in more targeted searches as well as giving users the chance to create career plans and their own homepages.
