jobshouts.com Free to List and Search
May 11, 2009 by Alice Allan

To stand out against well known competitors such as monster.com and careerbuilder.com, US based jobs portal jobshouts.com is offering free listings for recruiters along with free membership for job seekers. The website was launched in January 2009, and provides advice for job seekers on the jobshouts.com blog, alongside its listings.
Listings on jobshouts.com appear on the main website and also filter through to social networking websites Facebook and Twitter. Job seekers can sign up for alerts to be sent to their mobile phone.
In a marketplace where honesty counts, the website promotes itself as reliable, allowing job seekers to flag listings as spam, and also claiming that each job poster is carefully screened. A statement on the website explains that its intention to remain free to list, but that subscriptions for upgraded listings will soon be included.
US based classifieds website geebo.com recently made its job listings free for the month of May, however subscription based listings remain the norm across many job search portals.
